The South African Federation of Hospital
Engineering is a nonprofit organisation constituted as a
national body in 1975, to encourage professionals, technologists,
and technicians to cooperate in the dissemination and development
of information regarding the design, engineering, maintenance, and
management of healthcare facilities.

CEASA
The Clinical Engineering Association of South Africa consists
of clinical engineers, technicians, technologists and other practitioners
involved in healthcare technology. CEASAs aim is the promotion
and development of all aspects of clinical engineering and healthcare
technology, including design, construction, usage and the maintenance
of equipment, machinery and apparatus used in hospitals, clinics
and healthcare delivery facilities, clinical laboratories and similar
institutions. CEASAs current focus is the development of a
registration framework within the Engineering Council of South Africa
(ECSA) to enable practitioners to register professionally in accordance
with the Engineering Act.
