TCI Conference (NOW CLOSED)
Proposed abstracts are invited to address, but not limited to, the core themes running through the TCI conference. These include:
- the role of cluster initiatives in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship
- skills programmes and exports development through clusters
- increasing university and industry partnerships via clusters
- the tools and institutional architecture behind clusters
- lessons from running and managing comprehensive cluster programmes
- how clusters can reduce commodity dependencies
- clusters and value chains
TCI Academic Summit & TIPS Annual Summit
The TCI Academix Summit is being run in conjunction with Trade and Industrial Policy Strategies (TIPS) Annual Forum. Now it its 12th year, this Forum provides a vibrant platform for presenting and debating current thinking on economic development issues by leading scholars and practitioners from around the world. The Academic Summitt/TIPS Annual Forum has a separate Call for Papers which closes on 31st July 2008. See http://www.tips.org.za/node/1515 for details.
Abstracts of proposed papers should consist of a cover page and an abstract of the proposed paper:
The cover page should contain: Title of the paper, Full name and title (Mr., Mrs. Dr,Professor etc.) name of organization/company, country, job title, a brief CV of not more than 100 words, and contact email address and telephone number.
The abstract should contain; Brief details of the main areas of the presentation and should be no longer than 300 words. It should finish with a summary of four key learning points/key messages
