ICSE 2010 Author Kit

Authors of accepted papers have three main tasks:

1.      Submit your final paper through Cyberchair (your acceptance notification included the URL and login information). The page limits for your track are as indicated on the overview page for your track on the ICSE 2010 website. Formatting instructions are below.

2.      Submit the copyright form through ACM's online system. One author from each paper will receive separate instructions from ACM regarding this.

3.      Register at least one author for the conference.

Please submit your final paper and copyright forms by the CRC deadline listed for your track on the important dates overview page.

Formatting instructions

All final (camera-ready) papers must comply with ACM guidelines:

  1. Please use ACM's proceedings templates to prepare your paper. LaTeX2e users should use the Option #2 template (tighter alternate style).

  2. ACM requires that all fonts are embedded within the PDF file. Use Type 1 fonts (scalable), not Type 3 (bit-mapped).

  3. Include ACM Computing Classification categories and terms. The templates provide space for this indexing.

  4. Configure ACM's required copyright block appropriately for ICSE. Two data (the ISBN number and event acronym) are different for workshop papers. The configuration data shown below is for non-workshop papers. The ISBN numbers for workshop papers appear below the instructions.

LaTeX2e users insert the copyright block by including the following commands:

\conferenceinfo{ICSE}{'10, May 2-8 2010, Cape Town, South Africa}
\CopyrightYear{2010}
\crdata{978-1-60558-719-6/10/05}

Users of other preparation software must insert the following copyright block into the lower left corner of the first page:

Permission to make digital or hard copies of all or part of this work for personal or classroom use is granted without fee provided that copies are not made or distributed for profit or commercial advantage and that copies bear this notice and the full citation on the first page. To copy otherwise, to republish, to post on servers or to redistribute to lists, requires prior specific permission and/or a fee.

Workshop papers

If your workshop has a number in the ISBN number column, replace the number 78-1-60558-719-6 from the above instructions (either in the \crdata command or the last line of the copyright block) with the ISBN number for your workshop. Workshops marked as having "no formal proceedings" are not bound by ACM's formatting requirements.

Replace "ICSE" with the acronym for your workshop.
