Software Product Line Engineering (SPLE) is an engineering technique for creation of a family of similar software products, all derived from a single set of artifacts, thus supporting strategic software reuse. SPLE has been successfully adopted in specific industry segments such as consumer electronics, automotive, military, and complex manufacturing.

This workshop seeks to tear down the barriers between the SPLE community and the larger software engineering community, thereby promoting mutual inspiration and allowing for broader adoption of SPLE. In addition to general SPLE-related topics, this workshop's special theme, Beyond Traditional Product Lines, will explore new ways for making SPLE more adaptive and responsive. This will allow SPLE to evolve to scenarios where the software ecosystem crosses organizational boundaries or where the scope of the project is either unstable or unknown in advance.

Papers will report on original research, case studies or early work done the field of SPLE.
