INTRODUCTION
Globalisation is continuing to dramatically change the workplace requiring a workforce that is flexible, diverse and open to change and the realities of the international market. Companies no longer operate in an exclusive local community consisting of a local client and labour market, but in a globally competitive environment. This new paradigm requires a new skills framework, one in which local employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills to operate and compete in the global market and new leaders with vision, agility, courage and the mindset of a global citizen.
Jim Collins, in his study of Good to Great companies, found only 11 out of 1435 companies were rated Good to Great. Common to these 11 was the fact that they all, as global leaders, exhibited level 5 leadership competencies and were able to sustain themselves in the longer term. Level 5 global leaders build enduring greatness through a paradoxical blend of personal humility and professional will, channelling ego needs away from themselves towards the larger goal of building a great company. They focus longer term on ways to sustain growth, getting the right people on the bus and building heavily on spiritual and emotional Intelligence.
For Visionary Leaders , HR executives and line manages who are concerned about sustainability, globalisation and engagement of their workforce, this conference is a must.

Greatness
is not a function
of circumstances. Greatness,
it turns out,
is largely a matter
of conscious choice.
